Skirmish: Green with Envy/Jealousy (@atornberg)Liner Notes
This is a very late entry for the "Green with Envy" skirmish.
Lyrics written at the time,. but our holiday interfered with getting the music produced.
Instruments:
Wild Irish Whistle in D
Oscar Schmidt Six String Tenor Ukulele
Backing by Band in a Box
#fuc #reggae
Lyrics
(D) She said "I'm green with envy"
He said: "I'm red with hate!"
I said "I am (G) low and blue
That my friends aren't feeling great
She was (D) purple with rage
He was in a black mood
All I (A) wanted was a peaceful day
But now I was (D) screwed
(G) Friends add a bit of colour
To (D) your life every day
But (A) there are times that I wish
(G) They'd all go a(D)way
She was pissed and jealous
'Cos her old enemy
Had won a million dollars
On the State Lottery
He was in a funk because
She's talking of divorce
And Muggins here was caught
In the middle of course
CHORUS
She walked out on him
After their last row
He has taken to drink
But says he's over her now
I'm left wondering
Will this story ever end
I think I should get better
At choosing my friends
CHORUS
