Save Me Again

Liner Notes

#alternative

The domestic social gathering, the inebriated state. A jolly beginning to match the mood which then enters the half-conscious reality of our floor bound friend. Let their journey begin...

This song came about from messing around on a keyboard, trying out a through song that keeps changing parts and doesn't repeat.

Wasn't really sure what to do with this one. It had some Paul Simon vibes as I was writing it, but I've not really followed those with how it came out. I initially wanted to build on it and extend it to a rock out part with some distorted guitars but figured I'd keep it short and put more energy into my next song.

this has a very edgy musical and lyrical side, yet they both have a softer side, interesting change to the ending

Wow...super cool vocals. Paul Simon vibe but with a sprinkle of Beatles. The piano music shines in this song and then those cool vocal effects on the outro...a fun listen.

What a journey. From the first tinkling marimba to the Beatlish power, then to the stringy sounds, then to Bugs Bunny telling his story against the drums and piano. Inneresting!

Felt a bit dreamlike to me - I was getting 'Badly Drawn Boy' vibes until the spooky sounding vocal at the end.
