Liner Notes

i haven't been writing as many songs as i'd like this time around. i think maybe i need to experiment more and not keep trying to write loud alternative rock songs. so this is a quiet acoustic song.

i wrote this in about 10 minutes. i took maybe about 20 minutes or so to record it.

it seems like my favorite thing to do with lyrics is write nonsense that sounds like it means something. that's what i've done here.

i'm playing a 1990's fender electric acoustic guitar (mic'd. not plugged in). i'm getting some bass sounds with my jazzmaster going into the Boss OC5 octave pedal. singing into a shure sm7b. clean, dry vocals. no delay or reverb, for once

Lyrics

i can’t really relate
to anything i think about
and that’s kind of strange
cause i’m the one thinking it

it really makes you think
what does it make you think?
i think my brain
is out of sync

what do you think
that i should be thinking about?
and if you tell me
am i still the one thinking about it?

it kinda makes me think
what does it make you think?
i don’t know
what i think

Epistemic quandaries, nice vocal performance on these musings. The guitar sounds good and that Jazzmaster octave pedal bass adds a very nice dirty tone to the whole. Crisp ending. Love it.

I really like the lyrics here; very clever! And the acoustic performance has just the right bemused vibe. A toe-tapping philosophical delight!

I really like this. I could see this as the last track of a side A. Even though it’s a softer side, the melody and lyrics are very you

I think this is pretty good! That mic'd guitar sounds great, good job!
