Lyrics

[capo 2]
f g c
let me find my way home

let me be just like a child

f g c f
let my worries and fears disappear in the pouring rain

c g c
let me be just like a child

c f c g

racing down to the park on a bike
chasing the wind
feeling alright

gonna meet my friends like everyday
we gonna have a laugh
then were gonna play

[chorus]

oooo how the times have changed
i got bills to pay
i got kids to raise

and worry is my only friend
and it comes to visit
when i lay my head

[chorus]

the older i grow
the less magic i own
the older i grow
the more i'm searching

[chorus]

There's something very captivating about this subject matter. I like how the first line dives right into the message and draws me in. My favorite lines: "And worry is my only friend/and it comes to visit/when I lay my head." How VERY relatable!

good expression of that desire to leave all our worries and cares behind and return to that world of magic and play that we lived in as children.

Nice use of nostalgia - who doesn't long for the simpler naivety and innocence of childhood at sometime or another.

Soul-searching write with optimistic resolve cleverly knitted within this lyric's words. Cool in song. The whine and lament found in the call from the vocals is pitch perfect and delivery gold. Such cadence only further helps to make this tune strike even more of a chord with all who hear it.

That kinda hit a little hard, the line, "the older I grow the less magic I own..." Almost hurts. Lovely delivery, heartfelt.

Really like the lyrics and the theme . Wish it stayed there ! The adult portion contrast brings me back to reality.
