Given the challenge to reuse a title from 50/90, I chose “Who Are You” (title from a song by @rocketgrrrl https://fiftyninety.fawm.org/songs/300843) with the goal of a singalong chorus also suitable for barking. That gave me this revolutionary song about some ill-defined part of the old order that comes crashing down.

Lyrics

Who are you to come around here
Chipping at our ivory tower
We waited years to get our feet in the door
And you’ve been here for what half an hour
It takes lifetimes
To learn to do what we do
So who are you

Who are you asking for changes
In things that you have only just found
Chipping away at the walls and the gates
That protect this hallowed ground
It all goes to pieces
If the unwashed masses come through
So who are you

And all the dogs sing
Who do you think you are
Who who who who who
Who do you think you are
Who who who who who
Who do you think you are
Who who who who who
Who do you think you are
Who who who who

Who are you giving advice
And your evacuation plans
Saying you want us to be safe
Honestly there isn’t a chance
A more likely thing
Is a lightning bolt from out of the blue
So who are you

And all the dogs sing
Who do you think you are
Who who who who who
Who do you think you are
Who who who who who
Who do you think you are
Who who who who who
Who do you think you are
Who who who who

Who are you

It is so clear that the title inspired you. How wonderful to hear a strong, poignant song which has powerful lyrics and delivery. Very good take on the prompt. Love it.

Glad to have been instrumental in this song existing. I like it that we are unsure whose side the songwriter is on. It's obvious which side your narrator is on, maintaining traditions and rejecting change, but are we supposed to agree with him or feel sympathy for the "YOU" who is being told off.

PS any chance you can add a link to the original song you were inspired by?
