Charging batteries is the familiar step in storm preparation, all the more important if you plan to keep recording.

Lyrics

Have you seen the forecast
What more can I say
The most likely storm track
Goes straight up the bay

Water and apples
For when the wind hits the trees
The lights go to candles
Beats go to batteries

20 percent
You’re just limping along
40 percent
Now you’re singing my song
60 percent
That is getting warm
80 percent
Ready for the storm

Charged up and ready
Charged up and ready
Charged up and ready
’Cause the beats don’t stop

We are almost in it
I saw the lights flickering
Darker by the minute
Chargers do your thing

20 percent
You’re just limping along
40 percent
Now you’re singing my song
60 percent
That is getting warm
80 percent
Ready for the storm

Charged up and ready
Charged up and ready
Charged up and ready
’Cause the beats don’t stop

Charged up and ready
Charged up and ready
Charged up and ready
’Cause the beats don’t stop

Fun take on the prompt. I am guessing you live on the East Coast where hurricanes are common.

We had a real humdinger of a storm the other night. I turned my PC off, but was able to continue work on my battery powered 8 Track Mini Studio! Hoorah for batteries!

Great idea to use the life situation for the prompt. So true! Very well written lyrics and beautifully sang and played. Thank you for listening to my piano piece and for your kind suggestion. I've added the tag :)
