Lyrics

In the silence of the night
I contemplate what's wrong and right
All I've given, all I've taken
Wondering if I'm mistaken

Is it greed or is it need?
Where do we draw the line?

Am I asking too much?
For a world that's fair and just
Am I reaching too far?
For a love that's true and lasts
In this life of give and take
How much can one heart stake?
Am I asking too much?
Oh, am I asking too much?

From the deserts to the sea
We're all seeking to be free
But freedom comes with a price
Are we willing to sacrifice?

Is it greed or is it need?
Where do we draw the line?

Am I asking too much?
For a world that's fair and just
Am I reaching too far?
For a love that's true and lasts
In this life of give and take
How much can one heart stake?
Am I asking too much?
Oh, am I asking too much?

In every culture, every land
We're all trying to understand
The balance between want and need
The fine line between love and greed

Am I asking too much?
For a world that's fair and just
Am I reaching too far?
For a love that's true and lasts
In this life of give and take
How much can one heart stake?
Am I asking too much?
Or not asking enough?

In the end, we only regret the chances we didn't take
The love we didn't give, the dreams we didn't chase
So maybe, just maybe, we're not asking enough at all

Intro reminds me of 60s Motown! Piano so cinematic! Power song!

this is fabulous. although it owes nothing to echo and the bunnymen, the song has a feel that reminds me of the killing moon, but that is only the beginning of this behemoth of a classic it plays like an ultimate statement, touching on so many thingfs both lyrically and musically. And the production is like a pizza with everything on it. and all of it grown, baked, and tastes just right.

Fabulous intro! Really caught my attention, and I couldn't wait to hear what came next. I especially like that first Ch melody. The two voices are terrific, both separately and together. This has an epic sound that I just love. So glad I found this! Oh, my....that Out is wonderful.
