Lyrics

Build me a time machine
I need a time machine
So I can go back in time
And make everything fine
So fine

I’d go back take better care of my health
I’d go back invest to build my wealth
I’d go back take my foot from my mouth
Back to the moment when things went south

[Build me a time machine
I need a time machine
So I can go back in time
And make everything fine
So fine

I’d go back and place all the right bets
I’d go back and pay off all my friends debts
I’d go back and find the right words to say
The right words that could convinced you to stay

Build me a time machine
I need a time machine
So I can go back in time
And make everything fine
So fine

Life seems like a blur
It’s going much too fast
There's so much that is gone
And there's not much that lasts

Build me a time machine
I need a time machine
So I can go back in time
And make everything fine
So fine

Great theme and ditto delivery. I like the lyrics and as said before me: the Joe Jackson vibe. I also sometimes wish I could go back in time to talk to my younger me.

Life’s regrets seem to be the focus here, with your delivery. A deep yearning to improve what is wrong now.

You know I'd like the idea of building a time machine and going back in time doing things different. Your delivery was a lot like it Joe Jackson style song really got that Joe Jackson vibe Good job this is great too.

Hitting all the high points, health, wealth, and love. Interesting use on the word fine, the verses really elevates what it means to be fine, which is a rather ambiguous word. Really like that little outro lick, I wouldn't my hearing that a few more times. Liked the line about the foot in mouth, and the fixing past love part.

i guess we would all like to go back in time and change a few things. the lyrics on the bridge are particularly universal,

Heck yeah. I need a time machine too. Don't we all? Nice strumming and singing. Performance has just the right amount of somber to make it feel truthful.

Ah, yes if only. I enjoyed the topic, it's very relatable! This is a fun line: I’d go back take my foot from my mouth. I think it's well-written with the simplicity in the chorus and all the details in the verses. Nicely sung and played too. Enjoyed the guitar.
