This one popped out as I was meant to be putting a child to bed, whoops. I knew when I sang the first line the rest of the lyrics would come. Sorry about the sound - I had it in my head that string scrape amplified to the max might sound cool.

I have a thing for AABA songs that come in under two minutes; they just feel nice.

Yep the guitar is coming in a bit hot (hence the max string scraping), but you style it out as 'for effect', and actually it is kind of interesting to hear so let's go with it. It's an odd thought to have, but I can wholly imagine having a similar thought in a similar context. Love the change into the B section, and the way you switch the perspective to something quite hopeful at the end (just to ensure it's not entirely about YOU). Cool tune.
