I agree, this is great in headphones (and I assume not in them, as well). ;) There's dimension and lift to this piece, and the shifting, snappy percussion is a satisfying ride.

I like what coolparadiso said - 'percussion blows back'; that is indeed how it that snare feels against the smoothness of the elec piano.
Ooo wow, there's more blowback! That rough angry bit you swell in around :59 and then that HARD sound at like 1:16 - that's some serious contrast to the bass and elec piano, but a great complement to that snare.
With the title of this track in mind - those two sounds really send the listener's mind off into associating sounds with thoughts and concepts.
Really makes me thing unfortunately of war - the elec piano and bass is the 'peace' someone is hoping lasts, the hard snare is the battling going off in the distance but too faraway to be presently dangerous, and those angry sounds are the peace indeed NOT holding until dawn. yeah, this puts a very vivid scene in my mind - and that is what great music can do!

love the way that percussion blows back in the phones. Pretty keys move it all along. real power in those middle synths. a reall foot tapper. Nice lift at the 2 minute mark and a cool guitar here! Nice piece indeed
