Lyrics
We're Here for You
Verse 1
It had been some days, we hadn't seen your face,
So we wandered through the woods, to your special place.
Inside your little home, we found you sitting there,
With a glum and heavy heart, lost in your despair.
Chorus
We're here for you, through the dark and the light,
We'll sit by your side, through the day and the night.
No need to be alone, no need to feel blue,
We're here for you, we're here for you.
Verse 2
You asked if we were okay, if any of us were fine,
You shared your heavy heart, we could see it in your eyes.
You thought we'd turn away, not wanting to stay,
But true friends are here, through the joy and the gray.
Chorus
We're here for you, through the dark and the light,
We'll sit by your side, through the day and the night.
No need to be alone, no need to feel blue,
We're here for you, we're here for you.
Bridge
In the silence of your home, we sat without a sound,
But the warmth of friendship's glow began to spread around.
With each passing moment, your heart began to mend,
Because you knew, deep down, you had true friends.
Chorus
We're here for you, through the dark and the light,
We'll sit by your side, through the day and the night.
No need to be alone, no need to feel blue,
We're here for you, we're here for you.
Outro
So whenever you feel down, and life's a heavy load,
Remember we're beside you, on this winding road.
No more, no less, just friends who truly care,
We're here for you, we're always there.
Comments
I am a little puzzled by the opening of verse two though:
"You asked if you were okay, if any of us were fine,"
Should this be
"You asked if WE were okay, if any of us were fine," thus noting the friend's care for their visitors above his own.
Or am I misreading it?
Another line that I think might benefit from a slight alteration is the last line of the bridge:
As you've established this visit is of a group of friends, perhaps the last line should end in "friends" plural, rather than singular.
Hope you like it.
