Damn you are wizarding with those cassette tapes. I love everything about this. The glock being mangled by tape is so pleasing. It's absurd, beautifully so.

I kept my vinyl but got rid of all my cassette tapes, maybe I shouldn't have! I only used the splicing kit for practicality, i.e the tape got mangled, but to splice creatively, wouldn't have occurred to me. The creative mind in overdrive. As David said, wouldn't even know where to start with this epic craziness, I really feel for the glockenspiel the most.....

It’s your Revolution 9! Sound collage-tastic. The heavily compressed drums are stunning. So many crazy textures. Love the overall flow of it too. Can’t even imagine how you’d start making something like this - it’s magnificent.

@anthonykapfer yes i did! scotch tape and scissors. and i used the sound-on-sound technique and covered the tape erase head so we could stack some layers. we used a 9ish second one and a 30 second voice mail tape "infinite cassette" and a 10 second one that took me so long to align cuz of my stupid fat hands. also used an old walkman cassette player with vari-spead and nearly dead batteries...i recently purchased a box of cassettes from some lady in FLA. 20 cassettes filled front to back with news casts, documentaries. best 7 dollars i've spent in a long time.
