Fun with the Farfisa and the bass.

Lyrics

I was walking
down my street last night
when a drop hit my shoulder
I assumed it was rain
but when I looked
it was actually ink
confirming what I

the night sky
is just a giant inkwell
so I grabbed my fountain pen
and a ladder, dipped it
in the night sky
and wrote this message to myself:

I was walking down my street last night when a drop hit my shoulder. I assumed it was rain ...

What a fun intro -- that drum is like a faraway party I'm hoping will get nearer, and the fuzz and organ kept me in the mix. The vocals are almost spooky, which is not what I was expecting, but I like it!

@sbs
You had me waiting… read the lyrics and couldn’t wait to hear them sung… all the better for the wait - lol!

I like how sparingly you use the bass - to underline the mood. The percussion reminds me of a marching band. Bass and Farfisa play a game full of excitement together!
As always, fantastic text idea that I'm honestly jealous of! I admire how you always create this unique, poetic, surrealistic atmosphere!
Great!

the instrumental into reminded me of the ornette coleman trio with each instrument charging ahead in its own world. then, when the vocal comes in, they join forces to support the singer. as usual, the central idea in the lyric is brilliant, and your use of this surreal misconception results in a miraculous action.
