Lyrics

In summer heat it’s the vogue to wear less I know that I wouldn’t dare
Don’t go about in a state of undress. Don’t you have something to wear?

I know it’s hot and the sun’s shining down You think it’s too much to bear
Can’t you just cover yourself with a gown? Don’t you have something to wear?

It’s disrespectful it’s borderline rude People are starting to stare
It’s not the fashion to go about nude. Don’t you have something to wear?

The mercury’s rising I’m starting to sweat I ask you please have a care
Clothes are not something that you can forget. Don’t you have something to wear?

It’s getting hotter here under the sun I know you think I’m a square
I never wanted to spoil your fun. Don’t you have something to wear?

What a romp! Makes me think of last week when I convinced my daughter to wear pants not shorts to the first day of her summer program but then there was no AC and all the other kids were wearing shorts. I like the playful uke with the insistent muscular singing. Makes the character and relationship come alive.

Ha! This is so delightfully quirky and fun! Made me smile! I think you should have recorded it shirtless to create a juxtaposition of the singer and the song message :). Wonderful delivery and upbeat flow!
