Liner Notes

This was an interesting prompt for sure. Went with sad, with a glimmer of hope at the end.

Lyrics

I didn’t mean to say those things
They just came right out
I know you tugged at my heartstrings
Then I had to open my big mouth

I spoiled the mood I know it
The past is filled with such regrets
I didn’t mean to hurt you
Some memories are better repressed

And now time is moving faster
I wonder what you’re doing now
Do you remember that disaster
And do you laugh about it somehow

I hope you can forgive me
It’s something I wanted to say
Now I’ve turned my life around
And I’m prepared for judgement day

Nice turn around there. I'm sure we all can relate to having said things we'd like to take back. This flows beautifully and is a great take on the prompt.

Very relatable. Kind of invites some silent introspection. I think this is quite the universal topic, I know my mouth has cost me many times. Very somber but still hopeful. Laughter heals.
