Here's my entry into the #morph #morph5 chain:

2. @richardmasters - https://write.fawm.org/songs/304626
3. @brocolio0000 - https://write.fawm.org/songs/306755
4. @kahlo2013 - https://write.fawm.org/songs/310964
5. @ragbag - https://write.fawm.org/songs/311069
6. @johncrossman - this thingummy
7. @jennakole - you're up!
8.

Not much to say except I think I lowered the chords 1/2 step from @ragbag's delightful and acerbic tune but kept a lot of them, flipped the perspective, and experienced some verbal... looseness of the vowels (and consonants). Too much wordage, in other verbages. Hiss and all almost-Casiotone music courtesy of a Goodwill Yamaha PSS-570, not sure how old. Should have added some more tones but it was late!

Not a clear agenda here, primarily riffing, so read into it what you want. Or not. Listener's choice. Excited to start at the beginning to listen and also, mainly, thanks for listening!

Lyrics

Welcome to the Feast
(tuned 1/2 step down from these chords)

Verse: Am mainly
B section: Em F2 E (A occasionally)
C section: D Dm7 Am C (I think?)

The dinner bell has rung,
The breakfast brunch lunch dinner has begun

We’ll eat until we’re full, it never has to end,
we’ll eat until we eat until we eat and eat again

What’s going on in there? Here’s what’s been going on in there…

Take one giant fishbowl, dust the inside first with discontent
Silver domes and tarnished drones and jars of condiments

What’s going on in here? Do allow me to go on…

A tablespoon of spite might be rather nice
While you’re out, pick up some provocation through your media device

Stir in several malcontents to taste
And over time, the contents separate

What’s going on out there? Won’t you find out if you dare

Sprinkle on some malice, instigation can do wonders
Sipping from the chalice of privation, list’ning to the pointless thunder

What’s going on in here,
What’s going on in here

What’s good enough for us is too good for you
What’s not good enough for us is good enough for you, good enough for you

Finally the feast is done
Wreckage of a battle that the generals declare was won
But hardly anyone, barely anyone
Knew what was going on

What's good enough for us
Is too good....

This is delightful new direction to the morph. How it started with my metal tune and ended up here is a marvel. Are these toy keyboard presets? Ooh, nice vocal slide on "can do wonders." Liking the ending on dissonance.

Taking this entirely on its own (haven't listened to any of them). This stands on its own entirely -- I love it! Love the rhyme scheme/word connections throughout, and the refrain/chorus section.

Love the stretches where the words repeat and run into each other ("breakfast brunch lunch dinner has begun," "we’ll eat until we eat until we eat and eat again" etc. and how the lyrics flow rhythmically. I'm impressed!

Love where you've taken the morph. The laid back styling and the gorgeous harmonies move this into a new dimension. Lyrics are tremendous, moving things forward while connecting with what has gone before - impressive stuff. Fantastic. :-)

>We’ll eat until we’re full, it never has to end,
>we’ll eat until we eat until we eat and eat again
This is wordplay that I'm always down for.
>Stir in several malcontents to taste
>And over time, the contents separate
This, too.
Fantastic music, love the (tongue?) drum!
