Wild Card
Liner Notes
UPDATE: Got the song recorded, voice isn’t the best still but I did what I could haha
Will definitely try to get a recording before FAWM ends, but I caught a little cold this weekend and have been struggling in the singing department. At least I’ll get something decent enough to throw on here by tomorrow hopefully.

Lyrics
You may had just met me
But I hadn’t met myself yet
I was taking the long train
to nowhere fast
You were like a one-way ticket
But I wasn’t ready to catch it
I was busy leaving footprints
In all of my cigarette ash
Bought all my dresses from a costume shop
You were working at a high-end store
I was getting gigs at dive bars
and trying to get more
You took a chance on me
I promised change you’d never see
And that’s the same thing that you preached
We were both burnt before
I was just a loose cannon
A wild card in the hands of a gambler
I wrote you poems you’d never read
You gave me hope I’d never see
I’d never been so carefully careless anyway
You’d bring home one more chance
I’d ask for one more dance
And we’d burn brighter but smaller everyday
I was just a loose cannon
A wild card in the hands of a gambler
Empty bottles, blurry streets
Clouding up my memory
Lonely battles, empty sheets
Got lost in a reverie
Ooh..
Oh my, the tides have changed
Same faces, lines rearranged
I was quick to cross them
You would walk the other way
Fed up with my rebellious phase
Didn’t talk too much these days
We lost sight of who we were
sunglasses in the shade
I was just a loose cannon
A runaway train
A wild card in the hands of a gambler
