Liner Notes

First attempt this year at trying to capture the energy from the PS2 startup sequence, in song form.

Still pretty rough. There was a placeholder instrument playing a vocal melody, but it sounded a little too awkward in the mix so I left I out. The arrangement is intended to have a vocal over it (verse/chorus), but I don't think I'll get a chance to write and record lyrics before the end of February.

Song 1, 23 days in... will I make it?

this has that liquid dnb feel, but with a lower tempo. the drums are a bit dry. really i think that'd be my main critique: some jungle-esque slicing would add a lot to this.
there's room for a vocal melody but i think it holds up pretty nicely without it tbh!

I think this is the first breakbeat I’ve heard this FAWM! I love how you have the atmospheric intro moving into the drums, you really build the tension there but it’s subtle. I don’t know a ton about electronic music but I know this sounds very cool to me!
