Liner Notes

I am writing this for a video game. This is what I have so far, I plan on putting reving engines in it also, later.
This is a blues song going south the border.
This is a work in progress. I am using computer generated horns. My voice, my guitar, and drums layered. Let me know if it needs anything else.
My lyrics.

Lyrics

(Verse 1 - Slow, Moody Start, Guitar Accents)

Midnight rolls in like a ghost in the dust,
Whiskey on my breath, hands covered in rust.
Ran from the law, left my past in the wind,
But every road I take just leads me back again.

(Chorus - Haunting Trumpet & Slide Guitar Swell, Percussion Kicks In)
Ain’t no mercy on this road to nowhere,
Tires keep burning, but I just don’t care.
Shadows are calling, the night feels cold,
Running from the past, but it won’t let go.

(Verse 2 - Story Unfolds, Latin Percussion Creeps In, Spanish Guitar)
I won that race, but I lost my name,
Sheriff wants blood, and I'm the one to blame.
Crossed the border where the moon runs high,
Praying these wheels don’t leave me to die.

(Chorus - Repeat, Adding More Emotion & Layered Harmonies, Trumpet Swells)
Ain’t no mercy on this road to nowhere,
Tires keep burning, but I just don’t care.
Shadows are calling, the night feels cold,
Running from the past, but it won’t let go.

(Bridge - Instrumental Break, Spanish Guitar & Trumpet Solo, Slow Build)
[Slide guitar echoes through the night, trumpet wails in the distance. The rhythm builds slightly, then fades again.]

(Verse 3 - The Bitter Realization, Bass Kicks Deeper, Vocals More Strained)
Got one last chance, one last turn,
I see the flames but I let ‘em burn.
Maybe I’ll stop, maybe I’ll ride,
Guess I’ll let fate take me for a drive.

(Final Chorus - More Intensity, Gospel-like Backing Vocals, Full Band Swell)
Ain’t no mercy on this road to nowhere,
Tires keep burning, but I just don’t care.
Shadows are calling, the night feels cold,
Running from the past, but it won’t let go.

(Outro - Soft Fade Out, Echoing Trumpet & Guitar Licks, Engine Revs One Last Time)

Catchy and big but intimate. Musically it's tight but spralling. You do a great job of creating space in a very densely packed song. This paints a very specific picture with your lyrics and music.

I could be streaming this from a major outlet, this is beautifully done! I don't have the words to point out all of the great ways the different instruments add just the right touch, but you know. You're clearly a pro! I love the bluesy vibe, and the storyline, and the dramatic vocals, building towards the end. It's really just perfect.

Wow, this is great, I love your vocal tone here, some serious care on the horn work too. Nice light guitar work as well in various places, fits really well on the little solos and accents. Running from the past but it won't let go is a solid line, you've got a knack for lyrics and clever turn of phrase, I also liked praying these wheels won't leave me to die.

I love the groove, and the guitar runs. I think it sounds fantastic, to be honest. I don't hear anything you're missing here.

This is outstanding. It sounds like a final product already to me.
I like the way melody line in the verse goes especially.
