Lyrics

Think I might have to take it apart
And scatter it into the sea
Inch thick rulebook the shape of a heart
Is no longer serving me

Slug me with silver
Paint me with gold
Trick me I'm not so old

Think I might like to come to your home
And drown all my sorrows in tea
One is just selfish
Two makes a tone
But everything's better with three

Slug me with silver
Paint me with gold
Trick me I'm not so old

Clicked on this because of the title, not sure what "slug me" means here but I like it. Slap me? Hit me? Give me? Anyway, Donovan-esque and very enjoyable.

Love the one-take energy here - and the subtle, but really effective lyrical shift when the repeat of the first verse is used to close the song.
