Liner Notes

This isn't a song about Doctor Who, though the title was certainly inspired by the Doctor. I started playing with writing a song by stitching together movie quotes, and wonder what the chorus would ultimately be. Then I thought of how movies were literally Fixed Points In Time, captured on film (heavily edited of course) but unable to be altered. We can watch and relived them, but the characters will never make a different choice, there will never be a different outcome. So that became the chorus.

I didn't use all my favorite lines, or yours. The song wouldn't (couldn't?) be long enough to use all the best ones, or even all of my favorites. So I used what came to me in the moment and what fit.

I like the feel of the song. Not sure about the production or final product. Luckily, I can always change it.
