They’ve been at it since I don’t know when
High viz jackets to direct the traffic
Yellow with stripes, an all time classic
Detours lead the cars a merry dance
It looked so simple at first glance
But after one too many turns
I think I can truly say that we are lost now
They’re removing parking places again
Replacing them with flowered plants
Strengthening the canal banks
Not expecting any thanks
They’re digging up the pavements once again
They’ve been at it since I don’t know when
Still the city looks the same
You never see the signs of change over time
