this was originally a title i thought of last year as a 'response' to a Field Medic song called "grow your hair long if you're wanting to see something that you can change" and i thought hmmm if you chop off your hair that's much quicker way to see change and i thoguht 'i should write a song called Trauma bangs!"
well... this sorta started out about that but ended up kinda being protest song? to be honest i was really getting frustrated with having to write yet another song for fawm !!!!

This is fantastic. I was already loving the bouncy, happy tune juxtaposed with the very serious material. And then the ending was just perfect! Chef’s kiss!

I love how this shows so perfectly how out of touch we get when we think to make these changes in the spur of the moment in the chorus (the whole idea of the narrator cutting what she calls “trauma bangs” to show that she’s over it)

I got some trauma bangs a few months ago so I had to play this one :D Your lyrics are great, absolutely killer opening verse! I loved your energy and the uke, and really i think maybe it's impossible to write a song these days that doesn't turn into a protest song. 2025 yall
