Bump in the Road

by @karahermann

Liner Notes

A quick take from last night.

I wrote the initial chorus and verse about a month ago during a really stressful day and a long walk, I sat on a bench on the pathway and wrote it out. It is nice to sit down and finish it for a complete song.

Lyrics

V1:
Deep breath Sooth your soul
Stand back It all unfolds
Look up Eyes to the sky
There’s no limit You can fly

Chorus
I know it feels like it’s all too much
A lot to manage, gets a little rough
But that’s the way life goes
Just a little bump in the road

V2:
Drowning in your sea of fears
You’re not alone, look right here
Reach out and take my hand
You got this I understand

Bridge:
It just goes on and on and on from where you stand
But I can see it stops around the bend
Just put one foot in front of the other
You’ve got what it takes
To get through

V1
Chorus
Outro
Look Up Look Up
It’s just a bump in the road

Thanks for listening, @overflow! I always love a percussive strum :)

Thanks so much for the feedback, @spinhead! I almost always write literally, I am trying to write more in the subtext. It's a work in progress :)

This is wonderful, and the lyrics are so positive! I love the rhythmic thump, and the chorus flows beautifully. I also love the lyrics in the bridge. I guess that means I love it all!

It is fun to watch you play and sing. Some songs should live in subtext, but today, where I am, I needed this pure obvious encouraging song.

Your playing and singing are wonderful, but of course, the lyrics are what makes this a keeper. Thank you so much for sharing this gem.
