Astoria

Lyrics
First time I met you in Astoria
Bartender said your name was Gloria
Gave you a drink and it was Tanqueray and juice
Had you getting loose on the floor, yeah
Next time I saw you, such a silly soul
Singing karaoke, singing Billy Joel
Was it Allentown or was it A Matter of Trust?
Boom or is it bust? Laughter or is it lust?
It’s gonna be a sunny day, better grab some Ray Bans
Gonna be a sunny day, not gonna need those spray tans
In Victoria, on a double decker bus
I don’t mean to make a fuss
Can we make some time for us?
Again
Last time I saw you in Factoria
You were in a state of euphoria
Sipping on tequila with a gentleman named Bruce
Saw you getting loose on the floor, yeah

Such great rhymes here! As a longtime Billy Joel fan, I appreciate those especially, but Astoria/floor yeah is also inspired. I listened to another one of your songs that had this same catchy combination of rhythmic lyric delivery and catchy guitar hook. I love that! I'm a fan.

Cool riff! I especially love the rhythm change in the sunny day sections!
