Liner Notes

Throughout my life I have suffered from constipation, and have been to hospital several times because of it. Naturally, this song is about that struggle. I used Screamin' Jay Hawkins' song "Constipation Blues" as inspiration.

The song came quite quickly, unlike my stools.

This was recorded on my phone on the 19th of September 2024, done in a single take. The music is based around one chord, which is C minor. I sang and played keyboards.

I'm all blocked up deep down inside
A fire inside my tummy and my brain

My bowel is on strike

The poo sits in my digestive tract like a stone
Waiting for a brown kind of inducement
