50 songs in 90 days, that is the challenge.

I started 50/90 in 2022, and in 2022 and 2023 I completed about 25 songs each year, which I was more than happy with.

I remember speaking to my very good friend and music mentor @dragondreams about the two challenges of FAWM and 50/90, I marvelled how he, or anyone, could possibly contemplate such a ridiculously difficult task (seemingly difficult to me anyway). So imagine my surprise when this year, I contemplated the previously unimaginable, actually doing 50 songs....could I do it? I really didn’t know.

Therefore it will come as no great surprise to learn that this is my 50th song for 2024. I’d pretend that it isn’t a massive deal, but it is. My mind is a bit blown to be honest.

I stressed about exactly what song would be my 50th and how epic it needed to be, what style did it need to be, how long, what special meaning did I need to convey. Of course it doesn’t really matter, so having done the over-thinking, I just let the muse decide and that is what we have here. There might be triumphal horns in there somewhere ;-)
