'So Fragile'

Skirmish: Dainty (@atornberg)

Liner Notes

Thank you for the inspiration. The theme can go in so many ways. For me the word fragile makes me feel sad. So many things are fragile, human life is fragile, love is fragile... Butterflies are often associated with the idea of fragile because their wings are so fragile, they are easily hurt. People are often compared with butterflies. The possibilities to write about this are endless... Thank you for listening to my piece. I felt like crying while I was composing and playing it. But it might be perceived as calming or soothing. Instrumental music is open to suggestions and interpretations. Please let me know if you would like to collaborate with me. There could be more instruments, vocals, lyrics or spoken word.

A beautiful take on the prompt. this song is filled with a heaviness and sadness that you explained but it is beautiful at the same time. Great guitar playing!

I really like the synth sound you picked Nadia - it suits this piece perfectly. Your playing has a beautiful darkness to it, and it also feels delicate as it never strays too far from home melodically (at least to my ears). The left hand rocking between those 2 dark chords, and the right hand singing out the lovely melody - really beautiful composing and playing.

This is lovely! Thanks so much for writing it and sharing it, and playing it so well. I like the idea of the minor and then a fleeting major, I don't know where they come because I'm not that clear on the theory, but this is lovely!

That minor intro and then the introduction of the fleeting major gives a sense of hope and optimism and then we're cast back to the swirling uncertainty. It has an almost medieval/early modern vibe going on - I can imagine the impending fate of Ann Boleyn being played out through this music.

This does make me feel emotional and with being sick, I'm more emotional. So full of many tender things. Lovely!
