Aisle Three

Liner Notes
We have all been in a long line at the grocery store and so I have but I didn't make it out but you can pay your respects between the chips and nuts. Family requests coupons or gift cards.
#acoustic
Took an hour and half. Really butchered the line "there's a sign ten items or less" but whatever. Short song so could extend it with a final verse about how it feels so to pay and leave, maybe a dove coming out of the water moment. Kind of a silly song so short is good. I also had the word Coupon Queen that I wanted to use but forgot about it till this moment so making a note to work it in if I ever revisit. I also made up the word impassed and I don't think it works too well, at least the delivery is weak on a made up word.
Lyrics
standing there in the checkout line
down at the local store
i'm ten aisles deep and i'm starting to think
that i might never leave here
there a sign ten items or less
starting to think people can't read
there's a man with a cart overflowing
with sundries and other needs
g c
so bury me in aisle three
f c
let my tombstone mark my pass
g c
i wasn't on shopping spree
f g
now i find myself impassed
f g c
ooooo bury meeee in aisle three
c f g c
there's a grany pulling out a check book
they're gonna have to call it in
there's a kid playing bumper tag with a cart
and my rear end
there's an end cap selling all things
as seen on tv
and for the first time in my life
i'm thinking about buying one for me
[chorus]
am e
the celebrity gossip on the tabloid
dm f
got me all up in my feels
am e
the bubble gum and chocolate bars
dm g
are always tempting me
"i'm ten aisles deep and i'm starting to think
that i might never leave here"
I think everyone can relate to this situation, and your examples are very cleverly done.
