Lyrics

Enough revolutions for today
We'll cut the heads in the morning
Let the canons rest
Have a smoke by the fire

Victor what were you thinking
Huge prose is nobody's cup anymore

Take a stroll down main street
Stray dogs swinging along
Old men providing context
For young liberty at bay

The sky meets the mountain
Where baby's cries go to sleep
There's a red sun by the river
But the birds have left the wire

I've read some Victor Hugo, but I wasn't familiar with "Batak" - had to look it up. I was expecting French on the inscription, so when I saw Cyrillic script I was confused and intrigued.

what do you mean? hugo has always been and will always be my cup of tea, old men having a smoke and babies crying are no match for his cathedral rhapsodies and escapes through the sewers of paris.
