Liner Notes

This song started out as another song that was being worked on in the songwriting workshop at Wild at Heart Community Arts. I was not present for this workshop (it was too early for me), but I did take a photo of the lyrics and chords on the whiteboard.

I showed Phil (the founder of Wild at Heart) the photo of the song and asked if I could use it, but he recommended to write new lyrics as they would be under copyright. However, the chord progression was not copyrightable so I could use it. I modified the lyrics from the photo and wrote a new second verse.

This was recorded on my phone on the 18th of August 2024. I sang and played my Yamaha keyboard. I configured it so that the keyboard would play an acoustic guitar strumming pattern in the left hand when I played chords, and a piano voice in the right hand.
