This Side of the Rainbow

Wrote a little slice of life for today's contribution. It's been tough in our household ever since my partner got laid off at the beginning of April. I'm a disabled full-time creative, and I work as hard as I can to at least have my own bills covered, but we've had several disappointing instances where either job interviews were a dead end, or where events I played at weren't very lucrative.
Despite all this, and the perpetually looming financial anxiety, I am very happy with the life we have. :)
Lyrics
Sleeping in till noon
I wonder what you did the night before
Peaceful in your room
Humidifier steaming on the floor
Times have been hard, it’s been a long four months in the weeds
Times have been hard, but your heart is all I need
Honey, we’re gonna make it
That’s my solemn guarantee
I’m fine on this side of the rainbow
I don’t need no coins for the wishing well
I’m delighted in the life that we built for ourselves
Shooting stars can fall for somebody else
‘Cause I’m fine on this side of the rainbow
Life’s been lovely ever since I fell
Sleeping riding shotgun
The miles and the hours roll by
Somewhere south of Denver
We were stranded with a shredded tire
Times have been hard, and we really wanted this to go right
Time have been hard, but I, I won’t stop fighting
Honey, we’re gonna make it
I’ve got the knowing deep down in my bones
I’m fine on this side of the rainbow
I don’t need no coins for the wishing well
I’m delighted in the life that we built for ourselves
Shooting stars can fall for somebody else
‘Cause I’m fine on this side of the rainbow
Life’s been lovely ever since I fell
Now it feels like we’re surviving by the skin of our teeth
Overdrafts and pricey credit cards
The day is coming when you’ll breathe a sigh of relief
And we’ll wonder that we got this far
I’m fine on this side of the rainbow
I don’t need no coins for the wishing well
I’m delighted in the life that we built for ourselves
Shooting stars can fall for somebody else
‘Cause I’m fine on this side of the rainbow
Life’s been lovely ever since I fell
