I feel like I fell back 40 years into a smoke-filled 80s goth club of my youth. (I mean, I was too square to ever actually really go to one, but this captures the feel of those in my imagination perfectly.) The sound is terrific, the tone of the vocal performance *so* on point, the churning bass and jagged guitar so perfect; this is a stunningly authentic summation of the era perfectly, and a really catchy, lyrical song to boot. Excellent!
