There's forgetful, and then there's FORGETFUL.

Lyrics

I left my fingers in the kitchen sink
my toes at the roller rink
my head in the pillow case
my legs in the sack race

I left my arms in my sleeve
my sweat in the heat
my teeth in the roast beef
my feet in the street

Shoe, full of sock
said, "That was a shock"

I left my neck in my collar
my chest at the tattoo parlor
my nose at the bakery
where it could keep
smelling the sweet pastries
my knee in the sea
where it got water on the knee

@chris_buono: I definitely hear some kind of free-reed instrument in here. It could also be a melodica. @ttg105: This is just generally cool. Nice dreamy mix of instruments to accompany your deliciously bizarre lyrics.

Dig this observation write and execution on the page. Is that an accordion I hear peppered in? (What say you, @improvyssey ?) Cool style of play and cadence, too, ttg, bringing your words here to music life.

you do have such cool lines this is one of the most fun ones- musically a bit different slow paced less chaotic - even a bit pretty. different but clearly ttg

that first line cracked me up. and i didnt stop laughing util the song was over. one thing i love about your brand of surrealism is that the images are as common as they are impossible, so they are easy to envision.they make a rational visual sense, absurd as they would be if encountered off the canvas,

@sbs
Where do these come from - lol? When it came to the “I left my neck” I thought it was going to say “in my guitar.” Now you’ve got me doing it. Ha! Very nice guutar!

The lyrics are surreal, of course, but they definitely convey to me for some reason (undoubtedly helped by the hypnotic, percolating music track) a feeling of loss and regret, of things lost and left behind that can never be recovered, just contemplated. A stirring, mournful listen.

As a woman who sometimes leaves her brain in the kitchen I can relate to that lyrics a lit!
Great guitar playing plus that sweet melodica sound!
A winner again!
