Liner Notes

This track is a homage to using loads of Fantom patches to see how many I could cram in - quite a few it seems! This an electronic track in what style I'm not sure, but I hope it gets you dancing, watch out for that break in the middle though!

Used to make this track:
Reaper DAW (a few tweaks, panning, reverb)
Fantom sounds:
TR-808 drums*
SH101 synth
Portament LD synth lead
Windy Dunes pad
Indian Guru synth
Probably a couple more!

* the 808 drums. The Fantom has a "TR-REC" mode which allows me to program in drum tracks anything up to (I think) 64 measures. It is incredible fun using the 16 buttons to plug in the patterns, a skill in itself. I can either record the output straight into Reaper, or record it in as Midi and use virtual drums. But these are straight out of the Fantom. Old skool!!

This is a helluva groove. Though you say you crammed as many patches as you could into this it doesn't feel like it. It all feels very synergistic.

Whoa, this is kinetic as heck! I looooove the crackling texture in the beginning. And I'm a sucker for a lead synth with vibrato that also sounds vaguely like a cat singing. The section change at 1:10 is RAD! And the 1:40 breakdown, phew! So groovy. Was waiting in anticipation for everything to come back in for a finale and was delighted when it did! What a fun piece.
