The single chord progression really works here because you were able to make a great melody that moves from part to part. I feel like that's what the ear follows, and the particular chords you used have a sort of rolling feeling that keeps going as your vocals built. "Candy" is such a great metaphor, too. Well done. Really enjoyed listening.

One of my favorite songs I've written came from an exercise in doing this exact thing. Using a static chord progression throughout and letting changes in melody drive the rest of the song. Awesome job on this!
