For me, I didn't catch a country 'rube' vibe. It evoked images of a massive structure in space slowly breaking up on re-entry, such as Skylab or the Space Station. Which is a death, in a way. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed the listen.

About your piece: it actually sounds like an end, a farewell. Even like griefing. One being accompanies another when it dies. At times it has some choral vibes ...

sounds like somebody's motor is sputtering and finally giving out. as it fades, a calming cosmic chorus gently overrides the sounds of the dying
