New Protection Spell

For the random book that the skirmish asked for, I picked up The Illumination Process by Alberto Villoldo and a passage describing envy as the result of projection. This fit with the spellcasting I was doing this morning. The protection spell I did wasn’t very much to do with envy, but I turned it into that for the sake of the song.
I also filled the slot for a song about an ending for my concept album Quarter to Three.

Lyrics

Oh well I think I’m wise
To the evil eyes
That are tearing this world apart
They say what I can’t do
And the same for you
And no place for a heart
In here

That’s why I’m asking you
For a new protection spell
I know you do them very well

Oh well the world’s gone mad
And you’re sure you’ve been had
When you only read one or two pages
Take a lesson
From that old expression
There really are no strangers
Here

That’s why I’m asking you
For a new protection spell
I know you do them very well
Tell me it’s the end of the line
For the evil eye

End of the line

Great use of a vamp that really supports this lyric.

I really like the rhythm you've got going with the guitar! And I especially like the second verse lyrics. Nicely done!

You've expressed feelings most of us with heart and brain have, and in a very cool way. Great work in an hour!
