So yeah, this was a beast that didn't want to die… Not only was Jeskola Buzz being tempermental, but I feel like this didn't end up at all like I was imagining. At this point, I've checked off enough boxes from the #commentsfirst comments that I'm just gonna FAWM it & move on. Thanks for the inspiration everyone & this difficult challenge! Wow.

See You In The Shadows…

Comments Used:

@mahtowin : Not really a Banjo solo, but Banjo is a main part of the song
@nahlej381 : I hope I did your Fart Ochestra proud, tho I think I'm lacking…
@beacon : the wind chimes were the easy part. The #hardrock didn't end up as I had hoped. Sorry 🙁
@metalfoot : Geddy Lee vocals as best as I could. Co-opted & mashed up some Rush lyrics as well. I hope Neal Pert can forgive me…

Gear
====

Yeah, I don't even have the energy to list the gear. A bunch of Buzz Machines & VSTi's, as well as my Strat & my Peavey Mic. Plectrum: Black Jim Dunlop 1.35mm Tortex Sharp

p.s. There's a bunch of styles here, so I'm ticking the box for the Two Styles weekly challenge as well… & NSFW because of the flatulence… sorry 😉

Moving onward…

Lyrics

Desperate Vindications
=================

Dancing in the moonlight
In that mystical gleam
For those who wish to be
Those who wish to be
Must put aside the desperation
Get on with the vindication
In contemplation
The unrelenting dream

Listening back again now that I've posted it, this isn't as bad as I had first thought… the farts are actually pretty funny 😆

This was a fun listen to hear how it turned out, lots of variety, farts were a nice end surprise!

Wow, this is very experimental and the first "comments first" song that I have really listened to. I haven't studied the rules for this type of challenge as they initially appeared to be too involved for my tiny brain... but now, I am wondering if my peanut sized grey matter is expanding slightly to an almond sized piece of jelly... I ma have to revisit this stuff.

The fart orchestra is stunning!! And general great layering throughout this piece.

The chimes and entire 1st second are cool when the next wave with vox and guitars hits I got chills. Gritty progressive and wonderful. Plus you using that plec. Have you seen the Gypsy jazz picks that are like 6–14mm?

Dude the fart chorus sounds legit! Like it sounds way more musical than it has any right to. Major props. Bout to post another comments first…and I only want YOUR comments. Make it hard!!!

I think you hit more than two styles here! The fart chorus was magical. I didn't expect the wind chimes to be so prominent.

I would be curious to see the comments you'd get if you posted this as if it wasn't a comments-first track... 😎
I recognize "classic Candle", but I can understand why you said you were frustrated. You're probably too much of a free mind to enjoy following directives. 😉
LOL at the fart solo.

I declare the intro as a banjo solo - cause i love it!
Great surrealistic lyrics, layered vocals match perfect!
And as always: great guitar playing!

The Geddy Lee-esque lead vocal though. Wow.

Interesting to hear wind chimes in a hard rock setting.

Love me some slothcore and how the nap is framed by loooooooong sustained guitar notes!

Was that a fart breakdown after the second verse section? Just like a roaring chorus of cheek clappers. Very well done. O and the little squeaker finishing it off. You’re a true artist of both brows my friend…high and low. John water’s approves.

That drum solo sounds like a drum and kitchen pots rolling down the stairs! Quite the epic song this one!

I'm deeply impressed about your Banjo solo! Didn't expected that from you! It's brilliant!
